Zentangle Class

So, you are not an artist! Neither am I, but I do enjoy putting a pen to paper and making designs. That's what Zentangle is all about. Zentangle is described by its creators, Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts, as a meditational art form that can be accomplished by anyone - "one stroke at a time." Zentangle may look complicated but it's so easy and enjoyable. There are recognizable benefits to tangling such as stress reduction, increased hand/eye coordination, increased dexterity, develops creativity, and builds teamwork. The class is being offered at the Windsor-Severance library on January 17th at 6:00p.m. and will be taught by Marie Hornback, a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT). Marie will introduce the participants to Zentangle by providing a brief background of the birth of the art form. Marie will also teach the foundational steps along with a minimum of six tangles (patterns). Each class member will complete two Zentangles and will receive all the supplies necessary for the class. Pre-registration and a $5 supply fee is required for this class. Please stop by the library or call 686-5603 to register. This class will fill up fast! Please plan on attending class 10 minutes early to ensure proper start time.
